Sexual Assault Protection Order (SAPO)
Any person 16 years of age or older who is a victim of sexual assault may seek to obtain a sexual assault protection order. One may seek an order even if the sexual assault forming the basis for the order was not reported to law enforcement authorities.
DV Protection Order
A DVPO can be obtained by a person experiencing physical harm, bodily injury, assault, stalking, or sexual assault by a family or household member. A person may also file for this protection order if he/she fears imminent physical harm or bodily injury by a family or household member.
Anti-Harassment Order (AHO)
Anti-harassment orders can restrain a person from contacting another person, restrain a person from keeping another person under surveillance, and require a person to stay a certain distance away from another person’s home or workplace.

Defense Against Sexual Assault Protection Order
Under RCW 7.90.020, a victim of sexual assault may petition for a sexual assault protection order. The legislature intended a sexual assault protection order to provide a remedy for people who have been attacked sexually but do not qualify for a domestic violence order of protection. The order may require an alleged perpetrator to keep away from the victim, or it may order the alleged perpetrator to keep away from the victim's residence or workplace. Sometimes it does both.
